The party had managed to successfully complete challenges of climbing down off the Red Mountain and navigating itself out of the area of the Red Mountain by using its climbing and wilderness skills. The rescued badly wounded prisoners, still on the bring of starvation, have just barely survived the trek thus far as the party is short on food and clothing has managed to make it to a cache food. This food has given the party a bit of buffer from the starvation but now it must make its way back to the abandon fort, where another cache of supplies is hid; all while the autmun weather turns for the worse, and freezing to death becomes a factor.

The party is slowly unravelling this mystery, but still hasn't gotten any hard evidence to bring to the local lord, Sir Edmund.

Great campaign, the players are now in full survival mode, skills like climbing, engineering, and physician are coming into importance; once they get off the mountain, foraging, hunting, fishing, and survival skill will be their own way can get out of the Noneth Forest alive.

Five stars if there had been a fifth hand for Fresco! (Good game, actually not so bad as a mere spectator!) I learned to play 7 Wonders later on, another good one. Wish I could come on Mondays more often. Keep it up!

The party has just about managed to escape the orc hold, all that stands in their way and freedom is a metal portcullis; but first they have to find away to get the thief up the 120 foot air shaft in the dark without falling. Once that is done, its a simple matter of him picking the lock, after which they must haul up 3 unconscious men and help 3 walking wounded - no problems...

In the grim, dark future there is only... fun. A truly wonderful introduction to Dark Heresy. Lots of fun was had, and there was definitely a warm feel from the more experienced people. I look forward to future DH being run.

The party managed to survive, thanks to some Divine Intervention called upon by the Brother Yarlai, who then felt the power of his goddess surge through his body. He then charged into the mass of Gargun (orcs), the Light of Dolithor engulfing him, and proceeded to cut a swathe of Gargun, forcing them to rout. The party once more called upon the goddess Larani to help them continue their quest for the Soul Crystal...

The party has delved deep into the mountain stronghold behind the East Gate; as they progress, the body count is rising, now at least 75 Gargun; however, this success is not without a cost, many have suffered serious wounds, and if not for the Priest of Larani, Brother Yarlai, several would have already fallen. Now in the main cavern, they have successfully killed the Ogre, and have found two badly injured prisoners, but they still having found the Blotorc Norh (Soul Crystal); and the Gargun have been gathering in the outer caverns, working up the nerve to launch an assault; but thus far none of the leaders have managed to take charge. If they party wants to survive it must now fight its way out of the Gargun stronghold or else perish doing so...

This session was a great introduction to the group, the system, and the adventure. The group of 4, some of which haven't gamed together before, sat down and prepared to set out on an adventure, with me as their Game Master and guide. The the trio after spending the winter hole up in the market town of Fisen, prepared to look for employment with the coming of spring. By chance they met up with a band of miners, who spoke of strange things up at a recently closed iron mine, and the queer folk in the near by manor of Trezena. These stories intrigued the characters and they set out to investigate the rumours; while doing so, they came to the rescue of Pamela woman who was being harassed by a group of local thugs. In the ensuing the group managed to beat up or chase away the 6 thugs; unfortunately, Gareth had killed one them with his dagger, after some of the thugs had drawn their knives. The town watch arrived just as the fight was breaking up. Good fun and a great start to the adventure.

Party limped out of the Gargun infested valley, only to find that they barbarian guides sent to meet them weren't much better off themselves, having barely escaped a Gargun Ambush. Once linked up, the party and their guides sneaked out of the valley, and back to the barbarians' village. There to find out that it was attacked and destroyed also. Now the party must survive, with no food, badly wounded, and surrounded by wandering bands of Gargun. The next session should test their survival skill to the limit, and I foresee some tense moments as party must survive the rugged wilderness, searching for food, all the while dodging Gargun scouting parties

The party had the challenge of trying limp out of the valley with Gargun (orc) cave, whilst carrying one of its badly injured members (a shattered foot and a broken arm). The navigation was fairly good, and the camp selection was adequate; however, they couldn't cover up their trail, and soon the Gargun managed to follow it and catch up with them two night later. A raiding party of 26 Gargun attacked from two sides, catching the fatigued sentry off-guard, and managed to trap the party between them. The ensuing fighting swayed back and forth, but as much as the party wanted to run, it was unable as one of its member would have been captured and mostly killed. In the end, the Gargun leader's morale broke, and the remaining 5-6 Gargun along with the leader fled into the darkness, leaving a very badly injured party. Of the six members, half have serious wounds, and all have at least two minor wounds. The party must rest for the next few days and tend their wounds.

A battle ensued tonight, the party's camp was attacked, just before first light, by a band of 15 Gargun (orcs) lead by a battle-experience Gargun leader, who was not only able inspire his Gargun in battle, nearly wreaking havoc on the party, but was to put a scare into a few of the party with his ferocity. Nevertheless, the party was able overcome these disadvantages and strike down all, but one (who managed to escape) of the Gargun, including the leader. The party only suffering a few minor wounds; but it was a hard fought battle, in which the party would have easily succeeded had it not been for the Gargun leader. Now with one of their members very seriously injured (smashed foot & broken arm) and several other serious wounds, the party must get clear of the valley with Gargun in it, less be attacked again - this challenge could prove to be very difficult.

The players' characters now have a healthy appreciation of why rivers where used as natural borders; the effort needed to cross one without the use of a bridge or ford is immense and wrought with danger....

Great game and setting, in which the combat system is the jewel of the system; with no classes or level, characters steadily progress in whatever skill, trade, or occupation they want, barring social class, availability of teachers, and time.
